The group Meldis was formed in April, 2006. The founder of the given project is Anastasia Papisova the first performer on the Celtic in Russia.

Anastasia was the first who introduced on a wide Russian scene the ancient instrument of bards — the Celtic (Irish) harp. She is compared to Lorinoj Makkenit well-known for the whole world. Her first performance as the Celtic harpist has occurred on a scene of the Central House of the Artist at the first Festival of the Celtic Music in Russia in June, 1998. Anastasia also played in bands of the Celtic music «Troops Sidov» and «Si Mhor».
